The given pie chart compares the proportion of electricity generation from seven various sources on two different time frames of last year and two decades ago.

Overall, over the years, the highly utilized energy source for the production of electricity was coal as compared to this oil was the less opted two decades ago and hydro pumped storage last year.

Twenty years ago, the primary source for electricity production was coal, and the same trend continued till last year, which accounted for around 42 and 38 percent respectively. While two decades ago, the least chosen energy source was oil, but in the last year, the ratio increased twice by 4 percent. Whereas hydro pumped storage was a less opted source in the last year, which was only 2 percent as opposed to this one percent was higher two decades ago.

The proportion of nuclear energy sources remarkably increased over the years, which was only about 19 percent, and in the last year, it escalated to 26 percent. The other renewables and natural hydro flow consistently accounted for a lower proportion it was altogether only 11 percent however in the last year the figure in total only 13 percent.
