Question 1: How often do you use a computer?
I use the computer seven days a week. In other words, I can say I use the computer more frequently than my phone. During the week, I carry out my work on the office computer, while on the weekend, I watch movies on my home computer to regain the energy I lost during work days.
Question 2: What do you usually use a computer for?
I use the computer for several purposes; however, documenting patient details on the hospital website is the most usual activity I perform on the computer, five days a week. I mostly update after the ward round to inform other colleagues of what happened.
Question 3: Do you think learning how to use a computer is essential? Why or why not?
Despite acknowledging the demerits of many people’s loss of vision due to spending more time on computer screens, I believe learning computers has benefits for humans. Nowadays, many jobs require computer skills, so knowing a computer is just to be on the safe side, as computer skills are in high demand worldwide.
Question 4: What was the first computer you ever used like?
Actually, I still remember the day my heart was shocked by the amazing device located in our school’s hall. The next morning, during the parade, the academic teacher for the computer science course told us good news about the arrival of the computer. So, as form one, we were the first class out of four classes to jump in, so it was the first moment to see and play with the computer.
Question 5: Do you prefer using a desktop or a laptop? Why?
This would mainly depend on an individual’s choice, so when it comes to my hand, frankly, I prefer a laptop as it’s mobile and portable. You can move it easily and comfortably, despite its problematic consequences, such as its simplicity to be lost. I remember my friend lost his laptop on the bus because it was inside his luggage, so he got off the bus and left the bag inside the bus and never found it again.
Question 6: Have computers changed the way you work or study? In what ways?
Yes, computers have changed in many ways due to the development of science and technology. In my personal experience, I can say that there are differences between my childhood and my current adulthood. We used to play games like Super Mario that were poor in graphics due to low-quality windows, but now we have Windows 10 or 11, if I am mistaken, so it came with quality—I mean the best quality—so we hit GTA and Formula 1 games in a peaceful way.
Question 7: What tasks do you find easier on a computer?
Honestly, I feel safe and easy preparing my internship work summary. I need to fill in what I have learned per week out of 48 weeks, so the presence of a computer made my Task a piece of cake. It takes just under half an hour. It’s totally different from before, as I used to spend almost an hour and a half, so my computer skills saved nearly an hour completing this task.
Question 8: Do you think children should be taught computer skills at an early age?
In my own point of view, I support children receiving a computer education as early as possible because children tend to learn more easily at their childhood age than as teenagers. A good example is that children in the UK go to a football academy very early, so they can grow up in a football environment and have a good field, as this could be the same for computer tutors.
