Describe a Special/Memorable Moment in Your Life

Describe a special/memorable moment in your life. You should say:-

  • When the event took place?
  • Where the event took place?
  • What happened exactly?
  • And explain why this event is memorable to you.

There are many moments in life that are either special or not, but they leave an impression and a lesson to learn. Likewise, there are many such moments in my life too. One such event I clearly remember even today. It happened in 2014 when I was pursuing my post-graduation in Jaipur. When I joined my management college, it was their policy that each and every student has to enter into a 2 monthly internship program with any organization to have hands-on experience of the working environment.

I got selected in Bank Of India as an intern, and my key responsibilities were to handle the customer complaints and compile all the pending documentation in the branch. It was entirely a new life for me. This was the first time in my life that I had to do every single thing on my own with any support from family or friends as all were living quite far from me.

Though the first two weeks were very difficult for me as the staff was not cooperating and they were much older than me so were rude whenever I used to ask something—no one used to have lunch with me. I felt like hell initially. But as it is said, time is the best healer; things started getting into shape. I just straightly asked the manager to hand me some responsibilities as the staff is not helping me out with things. To my luck, he was nicer than others, though he never liked me as much but at least helped me with the job I was assigned to do there.

I started conversing with the clients on phone calls and even face to face when people used to visit banks for their transactions. Even helped some senior citizens in their banking stuff. The next few weeks were like I am actually a part of this organization. Even the manager was quite happy with my work and how I dealt with clients.

Time passed like the wind, and I completed two months. On the last day, I have to ask every member of the bank to provide feedback, and I was shocked to see everyone was happy and provided a positive response and feedback.

From this event in my life, I really learned my things: Self-dependency, confidence, problem-solving techniques, outspokenness, patience, and many more.

Follow-Ups of Describe a Special/Memorable Moment in Your Life

Question 1:- What events usually become memorable in our life?

There are many events that help in making beautiful memories in life—ceremonies like weddings, birthday celebrations, get-togethers, promotion parties, and anniversaries of close ones. When family and friends are together, every moment becomes a memory, I would say.

Question 2:- What is the importance of family celebration in our life?

The importance is unmeasurable. The family being together on different occasions can make the bonding stronger and help rejuvenate the relationship even more. The members’ understanding becomes clearer, and every member learns a new experience by sitting with elders of the family.

Question 3:- What changes have you observed in the last 10 years in terms of family celebration?

Many changes are visible concerning family celebrations for the past 10 years. Now the families are single or neutral, and each member is living separately to earn a livelihood. So they hardly get together to celebrate the occasion. Moreover with advancement in technology people have become more socially active rather than in relationships which have definitely affected the mode of celebrating the occasions in towns and cities.

Question 4:- How can a good memory help people to do their work?

People need quite an excellent memory to perform their daily tasks. Today, the world has become more modernized and dependent on technology, making humans vulnerable to memorizing important dates and tasks. The technology cannot always help in saving and storing useful items as it has limits to its use. But the human mind is much more spacious and efficient in remembering things. Thus humankind should depend more on memorizing things rather than storing them somewhere.

Question 5:- Do you think that it’s important to remember all the things? Why?

This is actually hard to comment on as every human has its own limits and capabilities to remember things, and saying yes for all the people will not justify my statement. I would rather say individuals should at least try to memorize as much as they can. This is only going to help them in their daily task and life as less dependency on other variables can reduce their mental load.

Question 5:- Why do we want to celebrate special occasions with friends and family?

I would say to build the relationship stronger. Secondly, to enhance the conversation and relive the memories we had all made years ago. Further, to certainly make more memories to cherish in future. So for such reasons, occasions with family and friends are a must.
