Well, skyscrapers make any city famous among other cities. Here I would like to mention Vishal Mega Mart, which is in the vicinity of my area. It looks wonderful, especially at night time when it gets illuminated with colourful lights. Moreover, the interior of the building is made of glass and aluminium fibre. Each floor is equipped with the latest technology and fashion. Before this premises, there was a departmental store where people used to go for purchasing and were unsatisfied.
But after having such kind of premises in their locality, people have frequent visits to this building because they get everything from clothes to footwear and other usable items of their life. A recent feature has been added to this building related to handicrafts, and I am taken aback to see how people mad after purchasing ethnic wear.
They don’t get such kinds of variety anywhere. Apart from my hometown, this building is very famous among children because children love to eat their favourite ice cream and the building has an ice-cream parlour where they get every type of ice- cream. But variety in it compelled them to visit this place more and more.
So this building has made people feel proud of their hometown, and whenever I am free, I make a visit to this place for purchasing ethnic wear because I love the fabric, and we also enjoy a shopping spree.

Well, due to technology, now constructing houses or multiplexes have undergone some changes. Like, earlier people used to have a horizontal or vertical construction of their premises, but now they are more stylish. They make skyscrapers and have a terrace on the top floor to have an overview of the whole city.
Question 2:- Whаt аrе people’s attitudes tо оld building today аnd thаt оf оur lаtеr generation? Shоuld wе protect them? Why?
Now people are more interested in preserving ancient buildings. They have become aware of their rich past history, so they are making appeals to governments to protect these buildings. These buildings can be protected by renovating and opening them for the public to visit. So these can be maintained for a long time in future.
Question 3:- Whаt role dо уоu thіnk thе оld аnd modern buildings play іn thе society?
Old buildings are the treasure house of past history, so these buildings enhance people’s knowledge by making them familiar with past incidents. In contrast, modern buildings express the creativity of human beings as well as making people relaxed in such kinds of ambience. So both have their own significance in improving the lives of people.
Question 4:- Compare thе differences bеtwееn house аnd apartment.
House is spacious and is constructed at the will of the people. At the same time, the apartment is for a nuclear family as well as is constructed in a similar way as the others are. It has limited space, and moreover, people can’t bring any changes in the apartment, which is possible in a house where people live with their extended family.
