Sample 1: Describe a Time When Someone or Something Made a Lot of Noise
The recent surge in innovation has brought about louder and more frequent sounds in almost every community. However, one of the most terrifying noises I ever experienced was the deafening sound of machine gun fire. This happened when instability broke out in the two English-speaking regions.
The intense bursts of gunfire rattled through the air, causing the walls and ceilings of my home to shake as if a severe thunderstorm had hit during the peak of the rainy season. 🌩️💥
The noise was so overpowering that it sent a wave of fear through me, shaking me to my core. I remember lying down, trying to calm myself, but the adrenaline rushing through my veins made it hard to relax. 😰
My heart pounded, and my mind raced with fear, constantly wondering if I might be caught in the crossfire. It was an incredibly traumatic experience that left me deeply unsettled.
I was genuinely scared for my life, as the relentless sound of gunfire made me feel like danger was just around the corner.
Sample 2: Describe a Time When Someone or Something Made a Lot of Noise
One incident that comes to mind is when my neighbour had a wedding function at their house. It was a typical Indian wedding with a lot of fanfare and celebration. The noise mainly came from the DJ they had arranged. They played loud Punjabi music, and the bass was so high that it felt like the walls of my house were vibrating.
The noise was overwhelming, especially because the DJ started around 8 p.m. and lasted till midnight. It was a mix of loud dhol beats, people shouting and cheering, and never-ending music.
When I first heard the noise, I tried to ignore it and focus on my studies, as I had an important exam the next day. But after a while, it became impossible to concentrate. So, I took a short break, made some tea, and put on my noise-cancelling headphones to reduce the disturbance.
Although the noise was irritating at the time, I understood that weddings are a big celebration in India, and it’s common for families to go all out. I wasn’t too upset because I knew it was a temporary situation, and as long as it wasn’t happening regularly, I could handle it. However, I did feel a bit stressed because I couldn’t focus on my exam preparation.
While the noise was distracting, I took it in stride, considering it a part of our culture and social life.
