Describe a Time when You Lost Something and Then Got It Back

I do not often lose things, but I distinctly remember one incident where I lost my gold ring. Originally, it was my mother’s ring, and she gave it to me permanently to wear it. I had to tie a thick thread around it as it was a bit lose for my fingers.

One day I did not realize that the thread had come out, so the ring slipped off my finger, and I was unaware the entire day. In the evening, when I was leaving the office, I saw that my ring was missing. I was very panicked and tensed about losing it. I went to my office’s lost and found department to register this issue and left the office.

Surprisingly, I got a call from one of my colleagues, and he mentioned that his team lead had found my ring on the floor of our bay area office. I rejoiced to hear this and also relaxed. The next day, I met his team lead, and she advised me to take care of it next time.

I took her advice seriously, and I re-sized the ring so that it perfectly fits my ring. Now it is quite hard to lose, and I am diligently taking care of the ring.
