Aquatic animals are animals that live in water (lakes, rivers, or oceans). They range from tiny fish to very big whales. Some of them live in surface water, and others prefer deep water. Few aquatic animals like crocodiles and snakes can survive outside water.

On the contrary, most species of fish are mandatory aquatic animals which means they will spend the day outside water. Regarding food, amazingly, there are herbivores aquatic animals which eat algae and other plants which grow in the water and water surface. There are also carnivores’ aquatic animals that eat other aquatic animals.

First, I saw aquatic animals when I was a child. I went on vacation to the biggest lake in Ethiopia called Lake Tana, which is the source of the Blue Nile. I saw crocodiles, hippopotamus and fish. I was afraid and, at the same time, happy to see this animal. The unique features of these animals are magnificent. How they eat, drink, bread, and live in water has still amazed me.

Sample 2

Well, India is a country in which different types of animals such as wild, domestic, and pet animals exist and has a diverse life. I love to see a few aquatic animals such as fish, but the one which I am going to talk about it is crocodiles.

Crocodiles are large semiaquatic reptiles that predominantly live in water. Moreover, they are famous for making the journey of serval kilometers over land. They are nocturnal and predators. It is large in size and around 7 feet long. It is in dark grey or black colour. Furthermore, skin is thick, and the tail is long and massive, along with having powerful jaws with many conical teeth—the life span of on an average 50 to 60 years. The first time I saw this was in Chhatbir Zoo in Chandigarh. It is a famous national Zoological park in India.

It is spread across a large area of grasslands. There I saw many different types of animals. All were under protection in safety care with precautionary plans in case of emergency or any health problems pertaining to animals. Then I saw various types of crocodiles. I felt surprised that a few were lying over the surface with a mouth and a few inside glasses of water.

They were caged with steel windows. I took many images in their different postures. Later I came to know they were trained and living there for a long time. They were trained to entertain the audience, like coming out from the lake and besides for an hour. They are famous for their look as they always keep open their mouth while swimming. So, this is an aquatic animal which I find very interesting.
