Many criminals carried out vast crimes shortly after they were discharged from prison. One reason for this is poor behaviour management, even though teaching and counselling on good manners would minimise the situation.
Due to the fact that a variety of prisons don’t contain good behaviour management, they just keep criminals behind bars for a duration of time. In addition, this trend of locking up people inside locked rooms without coaching them on the behaviours of how to make themselves feel bad about what they did, and to make a promise to perform another unlawful task again. For example, in My country, Tanzania, we have many prisons across the country, and every December, when we celebrate Independence Day, the president releases some prisoners as a sign of freedom, but a few months later, 8 out of 10 of those pardoned by the president were found in criminal cases and swept back to jail, so this indicates that inside the prisons they do not give the prisoners the real meaning of being in the prison that’s why this recurrent crime happened in the same person.
However, teaching and counselling on good manners will decrease the circumstances. Prisoners will understand that the major role of their being in prison is to teach them how to live in a way that is acceptable in society and makes them regret what they committed, as it is not good manners for people. We should live in a peaceful environment. For example, in Kenya, a neighbouring country of my motherland, after a prisoner is released from jail, he or she needs to report once a week for a particular time to the nearby police station until the authorities get enough information that he or she will not commit another crime. She or he will be a good agent of peace in the corresponding community.
To conclude, soon after being released from jail, a large number of former prisoners committed more crimes again because of a lack of behaviour management, while lecturing and counselling on good manners would combat the circumstances.
