Most employers do job interviews before offering a position to a person.  Do you think this is the best way to do it or are there better alternatives? What is the best method of choosing employees in your opinion?

Sample answer:

introduction

Employers have various types of recruitment methods and processes to hire employees. Interviews are face to face interaction between employer and employee and one of the common ways to recruit candidates however, it is not the best way.

paragraph:1

Every recruitment method has its own advantages and disadvantages. To assess the 360-degree personality of a candidate. Recruiters should merge more than one hiring technique. For example, In IT companies to judge technical as well as error solving ability. Recruiters should take the mock practical tests and panel interviews of the candidate. Depending on just one hiring method can result in selecting an inappropriate candidate.

paragraph 2:

The job interview method is only good for selecting candidates, whose job is to business interactions with clients and customers. For instance, people in marketing jobs, HR  jobs, and consultant jobs need good customer service skills that can be best judged in interviews.

paragraph 3:

The biggest downside of the interview is that the candidates are already prepared and answering prepared questions will make it hard to check the applicant’s worthiness. In addition, it is hard to believe that candidates are not faking and showing their true intentions towards work ethics and dedication. Another drawback is simply on the basis of the degree one can’t judge the ability to perform in the workplace. In such a situation putting candidates into the task, they should typically do before offering a job position to them.

conclusion:

To conclude, in my opinion, the interview is not the best method for choosing a candidate’s worthiness. Employers should combine and assemble two different recruitment methods to choose suitable candidates as per the job profile.

  1. Gurvinder Singh

Everybody wants to do a job in a company or firm, which has lucrative offers for the employees. To get a job, one has to pass through various stages or interviews. That can be over phone or face to face. I consider to select a right person for right job, various other methods are available that I will discuss in the subsequent paragraph.

At the outset, Employers most select the employees by taking interviews. Though Interviews are good option; but it cannot always give a reliable result. Because person can pretend to be learned by showing bookish knowledge. Knowledge is good but if a person has no practical knowledge then this is baseless. Moreover, it is always said first impression is the last impression. So, people after searching a lot about company can mislead the Interviewer. So, just one hour or more time Interview cannot present the true picture of Interviewer.

Shifting to other options like if the Interviewer are trapped in a situation that demands there alertness, patience and problem solving ability. If he/she by dint of his/her traits come out of the situation, then his personality cannot be judged. Additionally, rating about employees previous work from the company and the colleagues where the person has worked also throws light on his character. What’s more, employees’ unpaid work for the betterment of the society also shows that personnel has humanitarian gestures and will work with others in a good way.

In conclusion evaluating personal for the right job through interviews is not solely one option. Other alternatives; Rating scale, social work, decisive nature by trapping in a situation to name but a few. These can also be used and it would be beneficial for both the Employers and Employees.

  2. It is a well-known fact that the candidate should be selected via the interview process but in some ways, people are being well selected though the written process. In my opinion, face to face interview is the perfect way to select an employee for the company. In this essay, we will give light on a good way of the selection process for the job.

On the one hand, people think that interview is a must for all the kind of selection in which we can maintain the minimum criteria to process the candidate profile and written exam is a good way to select the candidate for service because, in the written exam, the employer will be much confident to perform their task without hesitation. For example, In my organization, people are more talented but they are hesitating to talk face to face and they are having brilliant a strategy to solve the problem.

On the other hand, most people advise to take a telephonic interview or take face to face round because, while interviewer and candidate come face to face, hence they will get more interacted with each other and the interviewer can judge their confidence easily, however, it discusses the company work more confidently. For general instance, the employee of the company can judge easily their productivity and fluency of talk, as we know that it will appear, some projects are mostly related to the offshore.

In conclusion, I preferred to select the employee for a job should be selected via interview and hence it will show the ability of the candidate also gives the idea of their productivity or performance.
