Question 1. Does your name have any special meaning?

Answer – My name has a beautiful meaning. Anjali means-To gives something/ sacred thing; in Hindu religion, while worship, we offer water to God with both hands, so this is also called Anjali.

Question 2. Is your surname prevalent in India?

Answer – I don’t think so, and my surname is Mehta; I have seen people using this title in Punjab and Gujrat only. My husband’s surname is Sharma. I think Sharma is more common than Mehta, and you can find Sharma all over India.

Question 3. Do you like your name?

Answer – My name is my identity; everyone knows me by my Anjali. I love my name; I also think most of us do (Love their name).

Question 4. Would you like to change your name?

Answer – As I mentioned in a previous answer, I like my name, so I would never want my name to be changed.

Question 5. Do people in India ever change their names?

Answer – Not all, but I have seen many women who like to add their husband’s name after marriage, but it is not mandatory; it is entirely up to them. I have also seen people changing their names. If they change religion, they keep their new name as per their new religion. This type of case is less, but it happens.

Question 6. What name do people at home (your family members) call you?

Answer – My nickname and professional name both are the same, Anjali. People often call me Anjou also. But my grandparents used to call me Sinu. Maybe they liked this name, or it was easier for them to pronounce it.

Question 7. How do children celebrate birthdays in your country?

Answer – Usually, kids like to celebrate their birthday among friends, but it depends on many factors like their Age, Family status, etc.…if kids are too young, their birthdays will be celebrated in their family Teenagers love to celebrate with friends. If someone is from a rich family, then they also throw a grand party on their birthdays.

Question 8. How did you celebrate your last birthday?

Answer – My last birthday was so special. I will never forget this day. I celebrated with my husband’s colleague in a hotel in Bur Dubai, UAE.

Question 9. What kinds of birthday gifts do you like to receive?

Answer – I believe everyone loves receiving gifts. I am also one of them. I would love to receive Watches, Bags, and clothes (Traditional and western both) as gifts. I also have a very nice collection of these. But most importantly, all these gifts should be branded.

Question 10. Is there a difference between how you celebrated your birthday in the past and the present?

Answer – The huge difference is there; I am in my thirties now; when I was young, celebrating birthdays, cutting a cake was not so important. I still remember visiting temples on our birthdays, making traditional Indian food, and having a small family get-together. Still, friends have taken over its different families’ place, and the Cake has replaced traditional food.
