People attend colleges or universities for many different reasons (for example, new experiences, career preparation, increased knowledge etc.). Why do you think people attend colleges or universities? You should give reasons for your answer using your own ideas and experience.
In recent times, university education has become a mandatory qualification for everyone. There are several holistic reasons for studying, like career progress and exposure. However, this essay states the reasons for this as financial stability and knowledge gaining.
On the one hand, the main reason for attaining a university degree is financial freedom. Most of the parents from the current generation had a variable career path, where they had to do different professions for running their families. They are unhappy with this unstableness and wishes their offsprings to have a steady and rewarding career. Consequently, students from high school wish to get into top colleges as they assure jobs through campus interviews. For example, the IITs in India have had a distinguished privilege of getting hundred-per cent placements for the past two decades. Therefore, financial strength is a major factor for students to opt for university education.
On the other hand, there are few students who are passionate to acquire knowledge. They dream of achieving in the field of research and development, which requires substantial knowledge in respective fields. Hence, they search for the best place to study around the globe and opt for one that is tailor-made for their aspirations. This would enable them to work as scientists in various fields such as military applications, nautical science, advanced neuroplasticity
and self-driving cars. Moreover, these are the professions for the development of humanity and getting educated for this will help mankind.
In conclusion, most of them are valued based on their education nowadays, and they are usually for financial strength and the knowledge they acquire. In my opinion, the country grows if a student pursues a college education for gaining knowledge as it paves the way for indispensable growth of the country.
