Since Most Information About Culture and History Can Be Found Online, Museums and Art Galleries Are No Longer Needed. To what Extent Do You Agree or Disagree?
Sample Answer: Since Most Information About Culture and History Can Be Found Online
It is argued that Museums and art galleries are no longer needed because abundant details about history and culture are available on online Platforms. This essay totally disagrees with that statement. I believe that museums and art galleries are not only a source of tourism but also a source of employment.
Museums and art galleries are essential parts of the development of tourism in a country. Because people can study about the history of certain things in school or in a magazine but in the end would like to manifest with own eyes so will make tourist move to the corresponding place to pay a physical visit for example in Egypt an enormous group of holiday-makers fly to Cairo to observe the greater Queen of Egypt called Cleopatra and Pyramid even though their information is available online.
Furthermore, it is another way to reduce the unemployment rate because people will be serving as either receptionists or tour guides and so on inside the museum or art galleries, so residents will get jobs. For example, in Tanzania, there are golden houses situated in Bagamoyo city, famous as the oldest city used by the Sultan in the 19th century. Now, it is a museum, and it has more than 50 workers.
To conclude, Museums and art galleries are still wanted despite the fact that lots of information about history and culture can be extracted from online sources, because they facilitate tourism and offer jobs to residents.
