Some People Think Science Should Be Part of Everyone’s Education, While Others Disagree. Discuss Both Views and Give Your Opinion. Give Reasons for Your Answer and Include Any Relevant Examples from Your Knowledge or Experience.
A part of society assumes that all of us must have science as a compulsory subject in our curriculum. Yet another part of our community contradicts the statement. Whatever the public thinks, our experience as citizens and students of this country agrees with the statement.
Science is the trend of humanity. The world around us works based on science. If we fail to understand the basics of science, we can not effectively interact with our surroundings. For instance, if we fail to understand the basics of thermodynamics, we might still be cooking primitively. Moreover, imagine our ancestors lacked scientific temperament. Computers may not have been invented. Thus, we should recognize science as a major subject in our syllabus.
For argument’s sake, imagine we did not include science as a mandatory subject. People would never develop a scientific temperament and would stay in the dark forever. One such example is the people of Orthodox nations who failed to secure significant scientific achievements. Another example is students of religious institutes who lack scientific thinking due to poor concentration on science subjects.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that society as a whole should make science a mandatory subject in all schools, irrespective of their interests. Only then can we progress as a prosperous society into the future.
