The advancement in technology has shown remarkable outcomes in the field of medicines. Now people’s life span has increased and due to it, some advocates consider the age of retirement must be extended. I completely disagree with the statement as the new generation will be unable to find employment as well as oldsters don’t accept change and are less aware of cutting edge technology.

At the outset, increasing the retirement age will have a drastic impact on youngsters as they will not get a chance to exhibit their potential and any company or firm will be deprived of getting innovative ideas that can be beneficial for the company to lead it on the path of success. For instance, In many companies, it can be seen that senior citizens still work even after they retire from their jobs; but they still retain their positions even at very low wages. This thing disheartens young minds. I think this kind of approach deprives the companies of reaching the peak of success.

Moving further, Grey-haired people do not accept change easily. They are satisfied with their traditional way of doing work. They show their resentment over the usage of modern technology. The reason being extremely adamant is the complexity of using it. It seems to them unintelligible. So they avoid using it and this is a modern era and flowing with time is a dire need for the senior employees for the upliftment of the companies. For example, many aged people become absent-minded, and keeping things in mind for a long time is not possible for them as they become old both physically and mentally. Keeping abreast with the latest technology seems to them a herculean task. So, it will be an injustice for them and for the new generation.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, Enhancing the retirement age by considering their increased lifespan is an impractical approach as it would not let the fresh minds reveal their creativity, knowledge and resultantly companies will not get benefits of modern technology.
