It’s basic human nature to learn and explore new things 🌍. America was discovered by Columbus, and India by Vasco da Gama. The era from the 15th to the 17th century is known as the Age of Exploration ⚓🗺️. Initially, exploration was undertaken to find trading partners, new goods, and new trade routes. However, it also significantly expanded our geographical knowledge. What we know about the world today is largely thanks to these explorers 🧭.
Early explorers, mostly from Europe, required substantial funding for their voyages. They needed ships and various other resources to embark on their journeys 🚢💰. These expeditions were adventurous, with uncertain outcomes regarding the explorers’ safe return. Funding was primarily provided by governments, which were eager for knowledge of new lands 🌏👑.
With today’s technological advancements, we can learn about the planet through other means, such as satellites 🛰️. Yet, I believe there is still a place for explorers. When they visit new places, they gain insights into new cultures and bring back knowledge about the local flora and fauna 🌱🐾. To me, embarking on an exploration trip seems incredibly adventurous, and I’d love to go on one 🎒🚶♂️.
