  • How much rain do you get?

Sample 1: Talk About the Climate in Your Country

I think the best word to describe the climate in my country would be “changeable” ๐Ÿ”„. In my country, the climate is very unpredictable ๐ŸŒฆ๏ธ. One day, you can get glorious sunshine โ˜€๏ธ, then the next day, you might get hailstones and freezing wind โ„๏ธ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ.

Even in the middle of summer, you can never rely on getting a good climate, as anybody who has organized an outdoor event in this country will know ๐ŸŽช๐ŸŒง๏ธ. Every year on the news, we see pop festivals that turn into muddy swamps due to heavy rain ๐ŸŽต๐ŸŒง๏ธ, or summer holidays at the seaside ruined by terrible weather ๐Ÿ–๏ธ๐ŸŒฉ๏ธ. But having said that, when the sun does decide to shine in this country, I could not think of a better place to be ๐ŸŒž.

One thing that I like about the British climate is that we do not really get extremes of temperature as some other countries do ๐ŸŒก๏ธโŒ. The rain does sometimes get me down, especially if it continues for weeks without stopping ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ž, and it often makes me feel reluctant to leave the house.

I would say that my favorite season of the year is spring ๐ŸŒธ, because, after a long, cold winter, the first signs of spring really lift your spirits ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒˆ. When we have a heatwave in the summer, which sometimes can be for weeks on end, I love to go down to the coast where you can cool off in the sea or just enjoy the cool breeze coming from the sea ๐Ÿ–๏ธ๐ŸŒŠ.

In the winter, I tend to stay indoors as much as possible because I hate the cold climate โ„๏ธ๐Ÿ . I think to have four very different seasons, as we do in the UK, is a good thing because itโ€™s amazing to see how the countryside changes with the seasons ๐Ÿ๐ŸŒท๐Ÿ‚โ„๏ธ. I think I would find it very strange to live near the equator where the climate is pretty much the same all year round ๐ŸŒโ˜€๏ธ.

Sample 2: Talk About the Climate in Your Country

Climate refers to the long-term atmospheric conditions ๐ŸŒ. Indian weather and climate conditions are very diverse and can reach extremes. The climate of India is essentially a temperate one ๐ŸŒžโ„๏ธ.

India lies to the north of the Equator, so the southern part of India is usually much warmer than the rest of India ๐Ÿ”ฅ. Also, water bodies lie on three sides, thus giving some parts a coastal climate ๐ŸŒŠ.

The weather in India changes now and then, thus giving the people much-needed relief from the extreme weather conditions ๐ŸŒฆ๏ธ. We have four seasons based on the climate: summer โ˜€๏ธ, winterย โ„๏ธ, autumn ๐Ÿ‚, and spring ๐ŸŒธ.

The duration of summer in India is from April to September. It is very hot in the summer months ๐Ÿ”ฅ. We have the monsoons during summer, which last from July to August ๐ŸŒง๏ธ.

We have rains in the monsoon season, which brings some relief from the extreme heat of summer ๐ŸŒˆ. The winters in India can get chilly โ„๏ธ. It becomes very cold from November to February ๐Ÿฅถ.

The northern part of India experiences harsh weather conditions, and the hilly areas experience temperatures below 0ยฐC โ„๏ธ๐Ÿ”๏ธ. Spring lasts from the end of February to the beginning of April.

It is very pleasant in the spring season ๐ŸŒผ. It marks the end of winter and the beginning of summer. Autumn lasts from the end of September to the beginning of November ๐Ÿ.

It marks the end of summer and the beginning of winter. The trees shed their leaves in autumn ๐Ÿ‚. My favorite season is spring. I fly kites in spring ๐Ÿช.
