The number of tourists visiting Malaysia and Dubai from 1995 to 2003 is presented below

The line graph represents the people visiting for tourism in Malaysia and Dubai. The colour orange is used to represent the number of tourists visiting Malaysia, and the blue represents the same in Dubai.

As we can see, the total number of tourists kept on growing unevenly in Malaysia until 2001. However, they suddenly started declining in a linear manner. Around 325 thousand tourists visited Malaysia for tourism in 2001, which accounts for the most tourists from 1995 to 2003.

In Dubai, the tourism sector witnessed a remarkable increase in the number of tourists from 1196 to 1998, 1999 to 2001 and 2002-2003. Moreover, compared to this increase in number, the decline in total tourists for a few years in between seems negligible.

Dubai and Malaysia saw the same number of tourists in 2001. In 2003 Dubai managed to attract 400 thousand tourists, whereas only 240 thousand can be seen in Malaysia. Hence, in the Tourism sector, Dubai obviously wins over Malaysia.
