The Pursuit of Profit and Economic Growth Often drives Innovation

The Pursuit of Profit and Economic Growth Often drives Innovation. However, Some Argue that It Should Prioritize Addressing Social and Environmental Issues. Discuss Both Sides and Give Your Own Opinion.

The desire to meet clients’ demands and equally accommodate rapid technological advancement, leading to fast task achievement and more benefits, has led many companies and individuals to develop several ideas and devices to accommodate this era. Some people think that idea creation and devices are brought about through gain-making and economic development. In contrast, others argue that social and environmental effects should be considered when taking charge of these developments.

There are several benefits of creating new devices. Firstly, with the Advent of machines, services are delivered on time, which boo boosts sis customer payment is made fast, which allows the company to realize many contracts within the shortest time possible as compared to the time a human being may take due to breaks and exhaustion as a human this will prolong the time of delivery of the task and thus few contracts in the enterprise. Secondly, machines are multitasked, which permits them to handle more than one task at a time simultaneously. For instance, with the development of AI, they can type and send emails to clients and at the same time develop for the company for a seminar in a very short time, which has brought competition in the job market as AI is taking the market human beings have equally embarked on further training to make up with the demands and this is also adding to the economic growth as both man and machine will boost the economy during this competition.

Innovation also has some drawbacks to the environment and society. To begin with, the development of remote work has made ground as it provides extra time to rest and spend with the family. However, it reduces interaction with co-workers as well as clients, which may reduce employees’ communication skills and cut them from socializing with some colleagues. This has also contributed to déforestation as many mega-companies have come into existence. During construction, many trees have failed down, greatly leading to global warming and affecting mankind adversely. The more development there is the greater the destruction of trees and the more ozone layer depletion there is.

To conclude, development has greatly influenced the rapid delivery of services, leading to more profit, which is the main aim of many companies. In addition to reducing human labour, these innovative ideas still have some adverse effects, such as social division and poor environmental conservation, leading to ozone layer depletion. In my opinion, these new ideas should consider the environment as well as the social aspects because they render man sick and lonely.
