Work Is Being Done on The Street Where You Live

Work is being done on the street where you live. The noise is disturbing you. Write a letter to complain to your local council, in your letter.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to you to make a complaint about the noise which has been produced by heavy work machinery in my street. Although it is beneficial to have a well-built street, it is unacceptable at the cost of disturbing others.

I am a local resident of this SRK colony. Being a marketing executive, I have frequent visits outside. Moreover, I am also a member of the Welfare Society, which is doing well in improving a community by pinpointing its problems and resolving them.

Let me inform you that I get disturbed by the weird sound of machinery, particularly at night. In a day, we adjust a lot to it, but as we are in a deep sleep, a sudden sound makes our heart fail. My grandparents are heart patients, they could hardly sleep, and now they are experiencing a sleep disorder. Also, other community members consider this disturbance responsible for making their children disinterested in studying, as they find it hard to focus.

I would like to suggest you order the construction workers to stop working at night. If it is not possible, could you alter to do this work at the weekend? As I am going to a business meeting so my grandparents are also going with me to spend some time in a piece. It would not be challenging for you to finish this work during that time. Also, you can appoint more workers to make it over as soon as possible. I hope you will reconsider the whole situation before allowing the staff to continue it.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Yours Faithfully,
