Sample 1 You and Your Family Are Living in Rented Accommodation in An English-Speaking Country

Dear Mr Watson,

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction while staying in one of your rental apartments. The trouble lies with the dilapidated condition of the furniture, especially the dining table and wooden almirah etc.

I have been living in your apartment on rent for two years. Recently my family, including my wife and two children, have shifted to this place. I am a permanent employee in a bank, which is quite close to this apartment. Proximity to it attracted me to take it on rent.

Let me inform you that everything is in better condition except the dining table and wooden almirah. The dining table is losing its beauty as it does not look shiny and there are some cracks on its legs. One of its legs is thoroughly broken. Besides, the almirah has no security locks. There are some holes in the shelves, which have caused damage to my clothes.

Would you help me to fix the problem? It would be great if you could replace the dining table with another one Or with a lounge. Now keeping a wooden almirah is obsolete. It would be so kind of you to build some cupboards. If it is too expensive, I am ready to pay some money in advance, and you can deduct the amount from the rent.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely,

Sample 2 You and Your Family Are Living in Rented Accommodation in An English-Speaking Country

Dear Mr Jonsan,

I am writing to bring to your attention some concerns that my family and I have about the furniture in our rented accommodation. First, let me introduce myself. My name is Manpreet, and I have been renting your property for the past six months with my family.

While we are happy with most aspects of the property, there are a few issues with some of the furniture that we would like to address. Specifically, the sofa in the living room and the dining table in the kitchen are in poor condition. The sofa has a number of tears and stains, which make it unsightly and uncomfortable to sit on. The dining table is also scratched and wobbly, making it difficult to use for meals.

We understand that wear and tear are a natural part of renting a property. However, we feel that these issues go beyond normal wear and tear and are affecting our ability to use and enjoy the space. We are concerned that the current condition of the furniture could lead to further damage or even safety hazards.

We kindly request that you take action to address these issues as soon as possible. We would appreciate it if you could either repair or replace the sofa and dining table. We understand that this may incur additional costs, and we are willing to discuss any reasonable options with you.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,
