Dear Sir,
I want to thank you for offering me a front desk or receptionist position in your organisation, as mentioned in the invitation letter to join on December 12, 2024. But I regret to inform you that I cannot participate on the first day.
A couple of days ago, I was planning to attend a birthday party. When I was returning, I met with an accident. My car was crashed into a tree, and I was taken to the hospital immediately. Due to some serious internal injuries, the doctor advised me to take full bed rest for the next two weeks. Unfortunately, I am unable to join you on the mentioned date.
I sincerely apologise for this inconvenience, but I hope you will understand my situation and allow me to join the company on New Year’s Day (January 1, 2024).
