You are renting a house in an English-speaking country and the landlord has been very helpful during your stay. Your friend is interested in renting your place. Write a letter to your landlord to inform him/her that you will be moving out. In your letter,

  • Tell your landlord that you are leaving and explain why
  • Thank your landlord for being helpful
  • Recommend your friend as a prospective tenant.

Dear Landlord,

I hope this letter finds you in good health. I’m excited to share that I have received an offer from an MNC, and I have been thriving to work in this organization for many days. Unfortunately, the work location is in another city, and it is mandatory to relocate to the new place to pursue my work.

I would like to convey my regards for being helpful to me when I moved to Australia for the first time. Relocating to an unknown country is exhilarating and nervous. However, with your guidance, it was simple, and I’m immensely grateful for the same.

I am also excited to share that my friend is looking for a place in Sydney, and he is extremely happy to move to the same home. He is my friend from college, and we stayed in the same room. I hope he will be excited to shift here immediately after I vacate the place.

Please tell me your thoughts regarding my friend’s accommodation, and I hope to hear from you soon.

Yours Sincerely,
