Sample 1 You Live in A Room in College Which You Share with Another Student

Dear sir,

This is Roohi, a second-year student at your prestigious institute pursuing an advanced Course in business management.

I am writing to notify you about my discomfort at the Current accommodation on the second floor, room no. 108. My work mainly consists of a number of assignments and projects after my college hours, but my roommate is an art student who deals with Cultural art. The majority of the time, he practices music and speech in the room, which creates a lot of disturbance.

Most of the time, the room is occupied by his friends, and they play instruments which leads to loud noise. It is hard for me to concentrate on my work, and it usually takes more time than required to finish my work. Now, it is impossible for me to deal with the situation and work productively.

It is a humble request to you to change my room and to provide me with a room with a student in my course. If possible, please allow me a single bedroom to help me to focus on my studies. Extra charges would be paid by me for that.

Yours sincerely

Sample 2 You Live in A Room in College Which You Share with Another Student

Dear Accommodation Officer,

I am writing to bring your attention to the challenges that I am facing while living in the shared room at the college hostel. I share my room with another student, and while I appreciate the opportunity to have a roommate, I am afraid that the current situation is not conducive to my academic success.

The primary problem is the noise level in the room. My roommate has a different sleeping pattern than me, and this results in him staying up late at night, listening to music or watching TV. I, on the other hand, need silence to study and prepare for my exams. The noise disturbance is making it incredibly challenging for me to concentrate and retain information, and I feel that my academic performance is being severely affected.

Another problem is the lack of privacy. The room is not big enough for both of us to have personal space, and it often leads to us getting in each other’s way. I am finding it challenging to find time to myself, and it is making me feel stressed and anxious.

Given these challenges, I would prefer to move to a single occupancy room. This would give me the peace and quiet that I need to study, and the privacy to relax and recharge after a long day. I understand that there may be additional costs associated with this change, and I am willing to discuss this further if required.

I hope that you can appreciate the seriousness of my situation and make the necessary arrangements for me to move to a new room as soon as possible. Thank you for your time and attention.

Sincerely,
