You Live With a Roommate at University but You Have Trouble Studying

You live with a roommate at university but you have trouble studying because of a problem related to your roommate. Write a letter to an administrator at your university and include:

  • Who you are
  • The problem
  • What you suggest they do

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to let you know about the inconvenience that has been created by my roommate and distracting me from doing the study.

I have been studying as a full-time student in the psychology department for 3 years. Now, I am in the concluding year of my graduation. Being a regular student, a hostel room on the ground floor with number 355, had been allotted to me.

Prior to my roommate, everything had been going well. However, I was taken aback when she started to play loud music at night. Throwing parties and scattering litter here and there had been a usual thing for her. What’s more, she used abusive language, when I made her understand and she did not pay any heed to me.

Would you be kind enough to help me out of this trouble? I would be grateful, if you could transfer me into any other room provided it, must be a single room. Now, it is high time for me to exhibit my knowledge by appearing in exams so I need to burn the midnight oil to come off flying colours.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Yours Faithfully,
