Sample 1:- You Recently Took an IELTS Test and There Were Some Problems
Dear Sir,
My name is Simon Peter. I partook in the IELTS exam, which was held last week, Saturday, 25th May 2023, at Lekki Phase 1 in Lagos, Nigeria. I sat for the computer-based general IELTS exam. When we started, everything seemed normal until we got to the Reading aspect of the exam.
Part two and part three of the reading test were multiple choice questions, and I noticed about ten (10) of the questions had repeated answers in their option. For example, according to the passage, the answer to question 18 is Travel; Option B and Option D in question 18 show Travel. This, I believe, is an error because I was not confident to know which of the options the correct one is. During the exam, I called one of the staff, but he could not render any valuable assistance. I believe the error is going to affect my performance in the reading test. In addition, I believe other candidates were affected, too, because, after the examination, I heard some individuals talking about the same issue.
I will be very grateful if you can investigate this matter, as this will affect the grading of the candidates who took the test that day. Also, if it were an error, I would suggest that we should be called back to rewrite our reading test. I am hopeful that you will act swiftly on this issue. Thank you in anticipation.
Yours Faithfully,
Sample 2:- You Recently Took an IELTS Test and There Were Some Problems
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter related to my recent IELTS exam, which was held on 2nd January 2023 by the British Council. I got the result for this exam, but I found an issue with it. My name is Ravi Krishna, and my candidate number is GJ055656.
My candidate number and name got mismatched in the result. After the exam, I was confident that I would get more than a six-band score because I matched the questions and answers after the exam. But I didn’t get my desired score and also had a name mismatch issue in my scorecard.
It can happen with many students who gave the exam on the same date and same place. I am not sure about others, but one of my friends also had the same issue.
I would like to request that you recheck my answer sheet and correct this problem. If you need further information, please feel free to ask me.
Yours Faithfully,
