Sample 1: You Recently Went on Holiday and Your Friend Lent You a Travel Guidebook

Dear Pooja,

Hi there, how are you doing? I’m writing this letter to give you an update about my recent holiday trip to the North where I stayed in Amritsar for 3 nights and 4 days. I am so glad you could help me with the travel guidebook for Amritsar as I’ve never been there and it would have been difficult to roam around without any knowledge about the place.

Although the local people were very kind and helpful with the directions and tips, the travel guidebook was quite convenient for me to follow the instructions about how to plan the visit to the tourist attractions and also the description of each place along with the additional information regarding booking to certain tourist spots and so on. The best part of the travel guidebook is it explains the history of The Partition Museum, Jallianwala Bagh, Gobindgarh Fort, and the cultural importance of the Golden Temple.

I will return the guidebook by next week through the courier as I have to catch up on many activities this week, so I hope it’s alright.

Thanks for lending me the guidebook.

Yours truly,

Sample 2: You Recently Went on Holiday and Your Friend Lent You a Travel Guidebook

Dear Priya,

I hope this letter finds you in the pink of health and high spirits. I’m writing to express my gratitude for lending me that invaluable travel guidebook before my holiday and share some of my experiences.

My trip was simply breathtaking. I visited the Amalfi Coast in Italy, a place that’s been on my bucket list for ages. The picturesque coastal towns, azure waters, and the scent of lemon in the air made it an experience I won’t easily forget. The sunsets were ethereal, and the local cuisine was a delightful assault on my taste buds, with abundant fresh seafood pasta and delicious gelato.

Your guidebook was an absolute treasure. It was so detailed and precise that I felt as if I had a personal tour guide with me. The recommendations for offbeat spots were a lifesaver. Thanks to the book, I discovered this hidden beach in Positano, not frequented by many tourists, which allowed me to enjoy some serenity amidst the summer rush. The restaurant suggestions were spot on; I had some of the best meals of my life following its advice. And the history snippets provided added layers to my appreciation of the places visited.

Regarding the guidebook, I’ve kept it in pristine condition, ensuring it’s ready for your next traveller friend or yourself. I’ll be coming to your side of town next week for work, so how about I drop by on Wednesday evening and return it? We could even grab a coffee, and I can share some photos and stories from my journey.

Once again, a heartfelt thank you for your thoughtful gesture of lending me the guidebook. It made my trip immensely more enriching.

Warm regards,

Harman
