The two types of music I am going to describe are classical and modern music πΌ. Original classical music has two forms: Hindustani (North Indian) π» and Carnatic (South Indian) πΉ. Modern music comprises remixes π§, fusions πΆ, film music π¬, and indie pop πΈ. Classical music is considered boring by the younger generation as they find it too slow π°οΈ, whereas modern music is enjoyed by people in every nook and corner π.
This is a sort of world music π, thanks to globalization π. Remixes blend old tunes with faster beats π΅β‘οΈπΆ and are more popular with the younger generation, generally played at discos and parties π. Film music shows a clear difference between songs from the ’40s and ’80s π₯ and is popular with all ages π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦. Indie pop is the Indian version of Western pop πΈ.
