Sample Answer: Describe a Party You Attended During New Year’s Days

I always look forward to the December and January period because it’s full of fun activities. I have attended so many New Year’s Day parties, and I would like to discuss the one I attended in January 2024. It was my best friend’s wedding party.

The party took place at a large event centre in the heart of the city. I was so excited to attend the party because I had been part of the event planning and was one of the maids of honour. I went to the party with Rachel, one of our friends, and a few others came too.

We had a mini get-together the day before the main event, and it felt like a reunion with my friends. I was so happy that all of them turned up for the party, because I hadn’t seen many of them in about 2 years; we only do calls, FaceTime, and chat.

Party time is like merry time. During the party, we listened to good music, danced, ate a variety of available menu items, played games and took pictures, and these are what people do at parties. However, sometimes there is room for gifting, where people give the celebrant a gift.

Depending on the type of party, people sometimes exchange gifts to show they care about one another. I really enjoyed this party because it was well-organised; I ate local dishes and took nice pictures. I look forward to another party because it elevated my mood.
