I would like to talk about Mr Ramesh, who works as a plastic waste cleaner in our hometown. He is my neighbour and a good, socially able person. And he has been doing the job of cleaning plastic waste from the surroundings for many years.
But I later learned that he works with an NGO focused on cleaning up plastic waste from public areas such as roads, parks, and riverbanks. Ramesh goes around different villages every day and collects plastic bottles, bags, wrappers, and other non-biodegradable waste.
He not only cleans the environment but also helps with plastic recycling. And he is doing social work to protect people from the harmful effects of plastic on the environment and health. I think Ramesh’s work is extremely valuable because plastic pollution is a major threat to the environment.
It pollutes water, harms animals, and enters the food chain. And people like him help reduce plastic waste and raise awareness of its harmful effects. So his job may not be high-paying, but it has a big positive impact on society. His dedication and hard work are truly inspiring.
