There are many places where a uniform is mandatory, such as in school and the workplace. It represents uniformity and equality amongst all people. When I was in school, wearing a uniform was an important rule of my school. Therefore, every year, my parents bought me two pairs of uniforms to wear in school.

It was the combination of a grey colour shirt with a coloured skirt. There was also a strict rule to wear a black tie and a belt. In that belt, the name of my school was printed out so everyone could identify the students of that school.

On Thursday, students were allowed to wear a free dress, and on Saturday, we had to wear sports uniforms. For boys, there was a blue colour of sports uniform, while for girls, the red colour of sports uniform was mandatory.

To be honest, I was completely happy when Saturday came because red is my favourite colour. Puppet from Saturday, I didn’t like to go to school because of the colour of that uniform.

At that time, I also felt restrictions and thought that we did not have any freedom in our choices for clothing. But when I became mature, I realised that it is a mandatory rule which is established to show equality amongst all students. And it is also considered a discipline which has to be shown by students in their school.

Yes, there are many companies I have seen in which people have to work at risk. If a uniform is not provided for workers, there may be a chance that a harmful injury might occur, which also involves life-threatening injuries. These types of companies should make a compulsory rule for their employees to wear only a uniform after entering the organisation.

Clothing plays an important role in every culture. Different clothes are worn by people at different types of traditional celebrations. For example, in Gujarat, in the festival of Navratri, people can see everyone in traditional clothes such as chaniya choli or sarees.

Yes, I think traditional clothes should be preserved and promoted in modern society because traditional clothes are made in such a way that they become a helpful source to get information about the culture and tradition of the past. In this way, one can revive the culture of the past in today’s time. Such type of clothes also helps people to distinguish themselves from others because of their unique clothing style.

Question 6:- Do you think fashion trends affect young people’s behaviour and attitudes?

Definitely, fashion trades affect adults’ behaviour as well as attitudes. Whenever they buy or wear modern clothes, they feel superior to others. Such types of clothes also encourage them to show off their economic status in front of society. It is also true that it totally affects negatively because it creates a lot of competition among youngsters.
