Sample Answer: Describe an Important Thing that You Learned

The thing I did not learn in school but from my mother is how to save money. So, the story begins when I was in the 5th standard that time, I used to spend a lot of money on candies and snacks.

For example, if my mother gives me 20 bucks and tells me to bring something that is only 15 dollars, then I use the remaining 5 dollars on snacks and do tell my mother about it. But she knows everything, and there were many times when she scolded me for wasting money.

And once she caught me red-handed, she told me to buy the stationery I needed for school with my pocket money, but unfortunately, I spent it all on candy. Then, very politely then sat with me and told me the importance of money in our lives.

Also, she took me to the orphanage to spend the day with other kids so that I could realise my mistake. Furthermore, it is essential to save money for survival, including food, rent, and other expenses.

I felt very sad when I realised how much money I had just wasted on useless things, and now I am very thankful to my mother for helping me realise it and teaching me money-saving skills.
