The chart below shows the results of three surveys on absenteeism in a particular European country in the years 2000, 2005 and 2010. The results show the reasons people gave for not going to work. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
General Writing Task 1
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
An old friend is moving to your city for a new job and has asked for your help in finding a place to live. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:
- Express how happy you are that they are moving to your city
- Recommend a specific area or neighborhood for them to live in and say why
- Offer to help them move their belongings when they arrive
Write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
