Neighbours & Neighbourhood IELTS Speaking Part 1 Questions With Answer

Question 1:- Do you like your neighbours?

Answer:- To be honest, no. All my neighbours are quite old, and they talk very little to youngsters like me. Moreover, due to the pandemic, they fear to come out a lot and stay inside their apartment all day.

Question 2:- Are our neighbours usually close to each other in your country?

Answer:- Yes. In my country, if you see the history, neighbours were very close to each other. They are just like a family member. One important reason is they communicate face to face, which is even uncommon with relatives as most of the relatives live far and communications are only via devices.

Question 3:- What is your neighbourhood like?

Answer:- Well, I live in an apartment. It is a triple-storey building, and there are 12 apartments in it. As I said, most of them don’t bother to communicate unless you start a conversation. It is peaceful sometimes, but most of the time, you feel lonely.

Question 4:- Do you think your neighbourhood is a good place for children?

Answer:- Yes. There are several schools nearby, and I think it would be easy for children to commute to and fro. Also, the park is nearby, and the kids who come to the park are also from well-educated families. So, I think it is a very good place for school students.

Question 5:- How could your neighbourhood be improved?

Answer:- I would suggest it be cleaner. There should be a meeting conducted every month to discuss cleanliness as it is more than needed now. Also, if there are few gyms, it would be helpful for adults to connect with the same people from the neighbourhood.

Question 6:- Do you think it is important to have a good relationship with your neighbours?

Answer:- Yes, even though you don’t communicate a lot, it is good to have mutual respect with each other. This will help in any emergency and benefit in other aspects such as receiving an order or letter, cleaning the commonplace, etc.
