Rain: IELTS Speaking Part 1 Latest Questions With Answers

Question 1:- Do you like rainy days?

Answer 1:– Yes, I love rainy days. Rainy days make the weather cool, especially if it has been sunny before the rain starts, and it helps to dissipate the heat stored on the ground so one can sleep soundly.

Answer 2:- That is an interesting question. I love rainy days because of their cozy feeling.

Question 2:- Would you like to live in a place that is dry or wet?

Answer 1:- I would prefer to live in a wet environment because when it rains, the atmosphere becomes cold. Rain makes the environment wet, but with a good drainage system, the rainwater will be easily channeled to where it is supposed to go. If the drainage system is not functioning properly, it could lead to stagnant water, thereby leading to the breeding ground for mosquitos which is not desirable, but I will choose a wet one over a dry one as long as there is a good drainage system in place.

Answer 2:– Yes, I believe staying in an environment that is both sunny and rainy would be a great place to live in.

Question 3:- How often does it rain in your hometown or the city where you currently live?

Answer 1:- Yes, I enjoy the rainy weather most, especially if it rains while I am home. This will allow me to sleep soundly because of the cool atmosphere. Since my body is resistant to cold, I get to sleep without clothes on, and I do wake up refreshed.

Question 6:- Does rain affect your daily routine or plans? How do you adapt to it?

Answer 1:– Yes, rain has a great impact on my schedule, especially if it rains on a working day. My job involves going to the site and working in an office. If it rains, I might be stuck at the office or on-site depending on where I am when it starts to rain, but most times, I am at the office. What I do is I make calls to keep myself abreast of what is happening on-site and also continue office works I would have halted if I went to the site.

Answer 2:- Yes, I believe rain disrupts my daily activities. For example, the transport system used will be delayed, and in the city where I stay, the available ones will hike their prices. Also, most roads won’t be accessible for me to go. And then if I wash my clothes, they won’t be dried up.
