Question 1:- Are you currently studying?
Currently, I’m not studying. I’m a master’s student in Plant Biotechnology, which I finished six months ago. I’m also pursuing a PhD in Molecular Biology and Plant Developmental Biology.
Question 2:- What is your major?
As I said earlier, my subject major is molecular biology and biotechnology, where we dealing micro and macro molecules of an organism to manipulate for the benefit of humans and the ecosystem.
Question 3:- Why did you choose this subject?
I particularly had an interest in biology from my secondary school studies from my biology teacher. She is the best motivator, and her love for science attracted me to her. Even in my undergraduate program, I got a liking for plant biotechnology.
Question 4:- What is the most exciting part about your subject?
I am excited about everything related to my subject, especially gene engineering, plant tissue culture, and how we can give an organism a desired trait.
Question 5:- What is the most interesting part about your course?
Mostly getting negative results in the experiments would be the most interesting part of my course because usually, we all follow a particular typical protocol for every experiment, even if our research organism’s strain is different. Still, when we get negative results, we have a chance to play with the experiment, which gives new novel results such as serendipity.
Question 6:- Do you dislike anything about the course or the subject?
The one thing I strongly disagree with about my course is the time conception Even a single PCR experiment may take 3-4 hours to finish.
Question 7:- What are your plans?
After I finish my doctorate program, I wish to start an individual laboratory as an independent scientist either in Kentucky or in my native.
Question 8:- How long does it take to complete this course?
It takes barely 4 to 5 years to complete my research thesis.
