Talk about a person who speaks a different language to yours whom you have met. Please say the IELTS exam
- Where & how did you meet this person?
- What was so special about this person?
- What did you learn from him/her?
English is a global language and it helps us to communicate with others 🌐, but here I am talking about my brother’s friend (Reagon) who only speaks and understands the French language 🇫🇷. Reagon was born and raised in France, so he used French to communicate with others. Last month, during my sister’s wedding, my brother came to India with his friend 🛬. They stayed at our home for 2 weeks, but I was not able to communicate with Reagon, so my brother worked as an intermediary 🗣️.
Actually, my brother lived in Canada with Reagon, and he told me French is the most popular foreign language nowadays 🌍. In a total of 29 countries, the French language is used as an official language, and Canada is one of them 🍁. Reagon is a very smart person 🧠. He caught our local language words (Punjabi) very easily. In just 2 days, he learned some Punjabi words such as “Sat Sri Akal” 🙏 and “Ki Haal Hai” 🗨️. He also taught me some basic French words that we use in our daily routine, like saying “Sorry” in French, which is “Pardon” 🙏. Apart from it, “Merci” means “thanks,” “Bienvenue” means “welcome,” and “Merci Beaucoup” means “thanks a lot” 🙌. We enjoyed all the rituals and ceremonies of the wedding 💍.
I am joining French classes now because it will be helpful when I visit abroad 📚🌏.
