Talk about an interesting animal

I’ve had a deep affection for elephants since I first saw them during my trip to Thailand. They are usually portrayed as lovable creatures in books and cartoons, creating a desire to cuddle them. But when you see real live ones, you feel nothing but awe. We decided to go to the Elephant Park to have a ride. And this is where I saw how huge they were. For example, if it hadn’t been for the wooden stairs, we would never ever have been able to climb this incredible creature.

During the ride we had enough time to look at it closer. I think the most interesting feature is its trunk which is both an upper lip and an extension of the nose. It looks really weird. But other than that, there’s nothing really unusual about its body. It has four legs, thick wrinkled skin, a big head with large ears and a long tail. There’s also a pair of tusks, or more simply, protruding teeth. The elephant is a hairless animal, but their calves have lots of small fine hairs that cover most of the body.

I have to say elephants are the funniest animals I have ever seen and read about. The way they suck up water and grasp bananas with their trunks is enough to fall in love with them. Besides, they are really sociable creatures. When they meet, they hug and greet each other. not only are they cute, but also clever. On the anniversary of a loved one’s death they return to the exact spot of their death on the exact day to mourn. No one can explain how they know about it, but it’s a fact.

Although they are marvelous to look at, they are dangerous to deal with. If cornered, they can attack fiercely and ruthlessly. These are the animals I can’t help but admire.
