Each country has some specialties for which it is known in all over the world. My country has also number of interesting things such as traditions, food and places which are famous all over the world. I am Jaspreet from India, Punjab. Today, I have asked to talk about an interesting part of my country. So, I would like to talk about traditions and customs of my country which are really appreciated and admired all over the world. Well, India is eminent for its traditions. In my country, people usually say Namaste rather than hello or shaking hands. Namaste is a sanskirat word. It is a respectful greeting said by putting hands together in the pranamasana gesture.
Namaste, it is used as a common greeting between strangers and friends of all age and status. Also, In some circumstances, Namaste is used as a way to express sincere gratitude. Furthermore, India’s people give lots of respect to guests. It is said that “Atithi devo bhav” where Atithi means guest and bhav means god. So, It means in India guest is like god and people give lots of respect to their guests.
Moreover, people celebrate all the festivals in cultural way. Numbers of festivals are famous all over the world like Diwali of Amritsar, Ganesh Chaturthi of Mumbai, Holi of Anandpur Sahib which is commonly known as “Hola Mohala “. So, in this way there are numbers of interesting things in my country which are used all over the world.
