Intro
1 . Well, saving doesn’t come naturally to me and normally I don’t save money. I try to spend it as soon as I get it.
2 . However, I would like to talk about an incident when I saved money to buy a gift for my mother. I had never presented a gift to my mother before this incident. I had always received gifts from her. And she had been kind enough to present me with some amazing and beautiful gifts.
3 . Therefore, I planned to pay her back with a beautiful gift. I wanted to keep it as a surprise.
How you did it?
1 . It was her 20th marriage anniversary and I thought to buy a beautiful Banarasi sari for her.
2 . My mother is really fond of wearing sari especially the Banarasi sari. I think she looks really beautiful and elegant in it. It really suits her and enhances her personality. Hence, a Banarasi sari would have been a perfect surprise for her.
3 . But it is little costly. It costs around 10000 bucks. The amount was little too much for me. That’s why I decided to save the money for it.
4 . I normally get 2000 bucks as pocket money in a month. I decided to save a big chunk of it for almost eight to nine months.
5 . Finally, when I was able to save the required amount of money, I decided to go to the market to purchase the sari. I went a famous sari shop of Chandigarh. After going through lot of options, finally I managed to select a stunning piece of sari. It was red in color with beautiful embroidery on it. I was really excited to buy it.
How did you feel?
1 . Finally when I gifted it to my mom, she was really happy and bit emotional as well because she was not expecting this surprise from me. She really liked it and blessed me a lot.
2 . Even I felt on the top of the world. The whole feeling was just amazing which cannot be described in words.
