The given linear graph delineates the information about how many women were members of parliament in the 5 European nations between 2000 and 2012. This data has been calibrated in percentage.

Overall, it is evident that all five countries saw an upward trend in the number of women representatives in the parliament over the given period of time. Moreover, the U.K. experienced the highest growth, whereas Germany witnessed the lowest trend.

To begin with, in 2000, Germany had the highest ratio of females in parliament, followed by Italy, France, Belgium, and the U.K.; their figures were about 33%, 27%, 25%, 17%, and 3%, respectively. However, in the initial year, the U.K. had the lowest percentage, which increased significantly over the 12 years to 27%, the same as Belgium in 2012. In addition to this, Italy registered a gradual increase and then, after surpassing Germany, reached its zenith point with 39%.

Looking at the chart in more detail, it can be inferred that although Germany, on the other hand, experienced a slight increase from 2000 to 2012, it remained less than that of Italy. Similarly, Germany and France showed slight growth, which was 25% in 2000 and 32% in 2012. In contrast, in Belgium, there was a drastic fluctuation in the percentage, which remained between 17% and 23%.
