The Diagram Below Shows the Production of Electricity Using a System Called Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (1)

The diagram below shows the production of electricity using a system called Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC). Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information below.

The given diagram illustrates the production of electricity using a system called Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC).

Overall, it is seen that the production of the system consists of majorly two parts which are warm seawater and cold seawater, which is a result, gives us drinking water.

In warm seawater, the process starts from converting it into water vapour by solar energy. Furthermore, in the evacuated evacuation chamber, it separates the salt from the water, and the saltless water vapour has been converted into turbines that generate electricity. The saltless water has been carried to the condensing chamber, where it creates pure drinking water.

In the second part, which is cold seawater and seen that it is below 1000m. In this process, the salt, which has not been used for pure water, is getting mixed with this cold seawater, and there is not much of a process happening, so it just gives us waste salt seawater.
