The line graph illustrates the amount of fish, lamb, beef, and chicken consumed weekly in grams by European citizens from 1979 to 2004. Overall, it is apparent that chicken is the most ingested while fish is eaten less.
In a more detailed analysis, chicken consumption stood at around 150 grams in 1979, then increased steadily and peaked at about 250 grams in 2004.
Turning to the proportion of beef, lamb and fish consumed, the beef and lamb follow a fairly similar pattern. In 1979, they began at over 200 grams and 150 grams respectively, then declined. Next to this, beef consumption hit the trough at nearly 100gram after 25 years, whereas lamb consumption did in 1999, after which it started to rise again. On the contrary, the number of fish eaten started at over 50 grams, then decreased gradually for the next five years afterwards, and remained constant throughout the years.

The rendered line graph compares the weekly consumption of four different eatables, namely beef, chicken, lamb and fish, in a European nation from 1979 to 2004. It can be seen from the line graph that the consumption of meat and fish decreased over 25 years except for chicken.
It can be seen from the graph that in 1979 the consumption of beef was the highest at around 220 grams per person per week. After that, however, the consumption decreased gradually to nearly 170 grams in 1984 and rose again marginally in 1980 before falling dramatically to just above 100 grams in 2004. Similarly, lamb consumption decreased slightly over 25 years, decreasing from 150 grams to approximately 70 grams by 2004.
By contrast, the consumption of chicken which was 160 grams in 1979, increased studying till 1999. After which it up search significantly and reached a peak of 250 grams by 2004 but fish remained unpopular throughout the period with a small quantity of decline of 10 grams from just over 60 grams per person intake.
