The table below shows the consumer durables (telephone, refrigerator, etc.) owned in Britain from 1972 to 1983

This table illustrates the information about the products such as central heating, television, video, vacuum cleaner, refrigerator, washing machine, dishwasher, the telephone that are bought by Britain citizens between the time period 1972 and 1983 in percentage.

Overall, there are eight different household items purchased by Britain people in which the television sale records high percentage, and central heating occupies least sales in initial years. After some years the television trends remains the same whereas dishwasher was bought by only a few people.

In the year 1972, out of 100 per cent, the television and vacuum cleaner devices were purchased by almost 93 and 87 per cent respectively, whereas in the next place it is a refrigerator and washing machine with 73 and 66. The central heating and telephone goods are used by very few people that are below 50 per cent. In the next ten years, television utilization is increased significantly from 93 to 97 per cent till the year 1972. The same trend follows for the products vacuum cleaner, refrigerator which is 95 and 93 per cent. The central heating, washing machine and telephone also rose up to 70 per cent but not reached maximum sales with comparison to television usage. From 1974 to 1976 the dishwasher utilization is 0 and inhabitants started using from 1978 with less than 5 per cent.

Furthermore, In the year 1983, the video device started being used by the people in which the usage is only 18 per cent and dishwasher it reached to 5 per cent compared to the beginning years. The remaining products were increased slightly to 1 to 3 per cent like television from 97 to 98, central heating from 60 to 64, refrigerator from 93 to 94, washing machine from 79 to 80 per cent.
