Things: IELTS Speaking Introduction Questions With Answers

Question 1. What is your full name?

My full name is Alex Cameron. You can just call me Alex.

Question 2. Where are you from?

I’m originally from Vancouver, Canada. It’s a beautiful city known for its beautiful mountains and rainy weather, but I’ve been living here for a few years now.

Question 3. Do you work or study?

I’m currently working full-time. I work as a digital marketing specialist for a tech company. I’ve been in this role for about three years, and I really enjoy the creative challenges it offers.

Question 4. Do you collect things?

To be honest, I’m a serious collector in the traditional sense—I don’tdon’tect stamps or coins. However, I do have a habit of collecting fridge magnets from every country I visit. It’s an inexpensive way to preserve memories of my travels.

Question 5. Is there anything you keep from childhood?

Yes, absolutely. I still have a small, ragged teddy bear that my grandmother gave me when I was a toddler. Even though it’s worn out now, it holds tremendous sentimental value, so I could never bring myself to throw it away.

Question 6. Would you keep old things for a long time? Why?

It really depends on the object. If something is a family heirloom or reminds me of a special person, I will keep it indefinitely. On the other hand, if it’s old electronics or clothes that don’t work, I prefer to declutter and recycle them. I generally don’t hold onto obsolete things.

Question 7. Where do you usually keep things you need?

I try to be exceptionally organized. For essential items like my passport or banking documents, I keep them in a designated drawer in my desk. For everyday things like my keys or wallet, I have a small bowl near the front door, so I don’t have to put them down when I’m in a rush.
