Travel and Holidays: IELTS Speaking Introduction Questions With Answers

Question 1:- What kind of places do you like to visit on holiday?

Visiting places is in my blood, and it’s circulating inside me every time. So, this coming holiday, I’d like to visit Maswa Game Reserve, located in the northern part of Tanzania’s Mainland. It is popular for having dangerous wildlife animals such as lions, tigers, and also very large crocodiles, which are more abundant there compared to other game reserves across Tanzania. 🦁🐯🐊

Question 2:- Can you describe your last holiday?

I can say I’m lucky because during the last summer holiday, all my co-workers had their holiday applications rejected by our Director, but mine was approved. So, I went to Zanzibar Island by flight, and after I arrived, it was very fun to meet new people. The most essential part was that I made a new friend, who is now my girlfriend. ✈️💑

Question 3:- What do you always take with you on your trips?

Mostly, I travel by flight, so in my list of things to travel with, the first thing I make sure of is that my passport is in its place. Secondly, I check my flight ticket (both go and return). And I think the most important thing, after my passport and ticket, is my PlayStation game because I’m a gaming person. 🎮✈️🛂

Question 4:- Do you prefer travelling alone or with others? Why?

When I rate in percentage how many times I have travelled alone or with friends and family, obviously, travelling with family and friends would score more than 98%, while the remaining 2% would be for solo trips. I prefer travelling with others because it makes me feel comfortable and not lonely. The most essential part is sharing the cost of the trip. For example, travelling with two people is different from a solo trip in terms of expenses, as the two can contribute 50% each, whereas a solo traveller has to pay all by themselves. 💸👫

Question 5:- What is the best holiday you’ve ever had?

It was during the 2021 winter holiday that my friend and I travelled to Ningbo City, located in the northern part of China. We met other friends whom we shared high school with back in our home country. The holiday was fun and good; we exchanged jokes we used to say to each other. We played football, and after the match, we took pictures. I still have those pictures in my diary. 📸⚽📖

Question 6:- How do you usually get information about your travel destinations?

Before travelling to my destination, I watch YouTube videos about the place, both the good and bad sides, as well as popular places that visitors should go to. For example, before going to Zanzibar Island, I watched YouTube videos about the cost of living, the types of food, and famous places to visit. 🌍🍴🎥

Question 7:- Are there any environmental concerns you consider when you travel?

Definitely, there are many things to be concerned about, but the most important thing is the safety of the place I am about to visit. It’s easy to get into trouble in a foreign land compared to your homeland. In a foreign country, you lack knowledge about what time is safe to go outside and which streets you should avoid. 🚨🌏
