It is an irrefutable fact that senior citizens play a pivotal role in the life of youngsters. Whether old people staying with their children is lucrative or is prejudicial remains a concept of contretemps. In the forthcoming paragraphs, I will elucidate the merits and demerits of this objective with credible illustrations.

Scrutinizing the given assertion and elaborating further, grandparents are a critical part of a family. They ensure that all the other members of the family are living their lives with happiness. Whenever a person is facing difficulties, then they provide their utmost support in such circumstances. To exemplify, when I was suffering from depression, my grandfather used to have regular conversations; we saw movies together and made sure that I was feeling contented despite experiencing psychological issues. Moreover, he advised me to seek therapy and sometimes accompanied me to the sessions. In a similar fashion, elders take care of their grandkids when parents are swamped with hectic schedules at workplaces. Hence, grandparents make a substantial impact by living together.

Probing ahead with the pitfalls, there are enormous expenses if more individuals reside under the same roof. It is quite expensive to manage the bills and groceries. The majority of the population suffers from serious health ailments when they reach a certain age. Sample 2 What are the advantages and disadvantages of having older people living in the family home?: Wiritng Task 2

In recent decades the payment pattern of families has been drastically changed and preferred to live in tight-knit rather than larger ones. Therefore, due to the current situation, senior age people prefer to live in a family due to some reason. Even a family that has older people considered blessed brings an abundance of benefits. Although many see it as a positive phenomenon, it is not on trend without drawbacks. It is also true to say it may bring disadvantages as well. I would like to explicate it at length.

Undoubtedly, there are significant benefits to keeping the elderly members in families. First, a thriving community must establish a peaceful environment in homes with old age people, such as morals and other crucial aspects vital for every home. As a result, families are more social and learn numerous assets from their ancestors. Moreover, senior people are considered a root of every family even though they have immense knowledge and experience about the past members in the family who like to enhance and nourish their skills, thus leading the new generation to benefit from them. For instance, according to research, some families in India have unbreakable bonding and connect with morals and follow all the culture and traditions of old age members in their homes. The other advantage is that the life expectancy of older people gradually increases due to immense care by other members of the family, which fulfils the basic needs of the adult people.

Despite the benefits, many aspects of old age people may prove inimical to a family. For instance, old age in visual easily get frustrated because of their age factor and sometimes they harm themselves which other members unable to tackle easily. as a result the atmosphere would be disturbed in homes and other members unable to engage themselves in another sort of activities. Another demerit is that old people easily get infected with diseases because they cannot survive at home for a long period even if it requires special attention from the doctor to cure their treatment without any loss. For example, in Covid 19 pandemic, the ratio of the senior people was maximum because they did not get possible help on time.

To put it in a nutshell, I pen down saying that after looking at both sides of the coin, senior people have adverse benefits in every country or family because they’re all also part of our community. It’s a responsibility to take care of the adult in all surroundings.
