You Are Having Some Trouble With a Work Colleague

You are having some trouble with a work colleague. Write to your employer. In your letter

Explain what the problem is
Describe how it is affecting you
Make a suggestion about what could be done

Dear Sir or Madam,

I have been working as an Assistant Professor in your college for 5 years. Prior to writing this letter, everything was satisfactory however, some disputes over certain things have been started with Mr Sharma, who is my colleague and I would like to bring it to your notice for my productivity as well as for the sake of the development of the college.

Let me tell you that we have been working on many community welfare projects; but, out of blue, Mr Sharma started to blow his own trumpet and didn’t pay heed to what I suggested? I was not allowed to present my ideas on these projects even now and then I had been threatened with false allegations of truancy.

I would not hesitate to tell you that it has a great effect on my productivity and now I feel an inferiority complex. My confidence has been shattered and I feel only a puppet in the hands of Mr Sharma.

Would you be kind enough to make Mr Sharma understand my pitiful condition? If there is any fault on my side, I will not hesitate to accept that and I am ready to apologize for that thing. It is better to nip the evil in the bud.

I hope you will look into the matter and do justice.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours Faithfully,
