You have had a bank account for a few years. Recently you received a letter from Bank stating that your account is $240 overdrawn and that you will be charged $70 which will be taken directly from your account. You know that this information is incorrect.
Write a letter to the bank. Explain what has happened and say what you would like them to do about it
Dear Sir or Madam,
I have been a regular customer of your bank and I was taken aback to receive a letter from your bank in which it had been stated that $ 70 will be charged as a penalty for overdrawn $ 240 from my account. I would like to let you know that the information was not authentic.
Suffice to say that, I had been enjoying your bank services for five years. Last year, I purchased a car on loan. Ever since I had bought it, I had been making payments in installments. Therefore, one month ago, I was able to clear all the amount and I informed your bank to stop paying the amount. I was assured about it and now it has been noticed to me for changing $70 for overdrawn the amount. Would you be kind enough to check the last transaction, when it had been paid? A message from your bank about the above-mentioned information is still on my mobile phone.
For making your work convenient, I will send it to you. It may be an error either on the side of your personnel or a machine error.
Looking forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.
Yours Faithfully,
