Dear Sir,

I am Manpreet Singh (ID12350). I have been accepted to take a 12-week English class at your school. I am writing this letter with a heavy heart to let you know that I have a family emergency at home.

In other words, I got a call this morning that my uncle got into an extreme accident and he is admitted to a hospital in my town. However, my parents are out of town, and as a younger child, I had to go back home to take care of him.

Since he is in the hospital, I can’t promise you my return date, because it may take longer than expected. Therefore, it would be great if the school could return my paid fees for this course.
