You Have Just Moved Into a New Home and Are Planning to Hold a Party GT Writing Task 1

You have just moved into a new home and are planning to hold a party. You are worried that the noise may disturb your neighbour. Write a letter to your neighbour. In your letter you should:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am John, working as a software engineer at Smith Technologies. I recently moved to the flat which is opposite your home. Previously, I resided in India and now migrated to Sydney to explore enormous career opportunities in this city. I am pretty new to this community, and it is quite challenging to get accustomed to this locality.

Furthermore, I decided to throw a housewarming party for my colleagues and friends on the occasion of my relocation on Friday evening around 6 PM. I am planning to perform a traditional ceremony in an auspicious manner, followed by dinner and drinks. For supper, I have planned to arrange an authentic Indian cuisine meal. However, drinks will be served according to Australian culture. I have decided to arrange light music post the religious ceremony to uplift the mood of my guests. However, I assure you that the noise levels would be minimal such that it will not create any sort of disturbance to the neighbourhood.

Moreover, I request you to attend this event along with your family, and it would be a wonderful opportunity to get acquainted with each other. I guarantee that you will have an astonishing evening.

Thank you for your consideration, and hope to see you soon.

Yours faithfully,
